In keeping with the "Frog" theme, Jerry Giles has opened his photography business and called it Shutter Frogs. It was an obvious play on the phrase "Shutter bugs" while still including the "Frogs" for which I have become known. Although, I don't know if Neil Diamond is a camera buff it not, I thought the name was a great tie-in to my Frog persona. As an actor, Jerry has had too many headshot sessions to count. Many of the experiences were great. Many were okay, and many just weren't pleasant at all. The common factor was that I was saddled with the pictures no matter the experience. The quality of the pics varied as much as the experience. Most of the time I felt like I was rushed so the photog could get someone else in just so they could keep the money rolling, keep that factory moving. As a headshot photographer I seek to make each actor feel like they are the most important person that I know. I truly want each session to yild the best results the actor or actress has ever had in a headshot session. That will continue to be my goal. I keep the session light and friendly to try and let the actor "be" themselves. The more comfortable they are in the environment that I try to set up, the more likely they are to explore many different sides of themselves.
