Jerry played Little League baseball with Clint Hurdle, the current manager of the Colorado Rockies. Clint broke into the pros as a player with the Kansas City Royals and was Rookie of the Year in some publications. |

Jerry went to Leeds High School just a few years ahead of
Charles, "Sir Charles"-the "Round Mound of Rebound," Barkley.

After college Jerry delivered over 2000 singing telegrams in Birmingham, Al. The one on the left was to McAdory High School before they played their big rival, Mortimer-Jordan. The telegram was to center on one very special running back, one Vincent "Bo" Jackson. Bo went on to be a two sport all-star. |

Bo and Sir Charles not only both played at Auburn, but were on campus at the same time. Bo won the Heisman Trophy in 1985.
Bo and Clint both played baseball for the Kansas City Royals.
Jerry likes to watch all three sports. Sorry, that's as close as I can come to being included in a sports parallel with those three. |

When not singing telegrams, Jerry got his first real theatre job as "Fred Casely" in Chicago. While doing that musical he had to get dance clothes. He ended up dating the lady who ran the Danskin store. Her afternoon help was a very sweet girl named Courtney Cox. She and Jerry would go and get stuff for his date, her boss. Small world, huh?

Jessica Morris in a little film called "Bloody Murder."

After being in Los Angeles less than one week, Jerry was offered a role, no audition or anything, by the exec producer in a little mini-series called "North and South." Jerry declined the kind offer because he "was here to be a singer and wouldn't want to take work away from someone trying to get acting work." It's okay if you collectively call Jerry a moron.

In his first acting class, Jerry was rehearsing a scene with a friend from class. The friend's brother was rehearsing in the back room (a makeshift dance studio) for this little independent movie. Donny wanted me to meet his brother, Buddy, and the girl he was rehearsing with, Jen.
The 'little' movie was "Dirty Dancing" and they were
Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey. |

Jerry also played Little League baseball with Joe and Tony Gayton. Joe wrote and directed several films, including "Uncommon Valor." Tony wrote such films as "Salton Sea" and "Murder by Numbers." |

Sandra Bullock starred in "Murder by Numbers" written by a fellow little leaguer and she should, well, she should just marry me Jerry.
In the movie version of "Chicago,"Renee Zellwegger was the lover and killer of Fred Casely, who Jerry played years earlier. Renee should just, well, she should just marry Jerry. |
